What is the point of adding a subwoofer to your vehicle ?
A subwoofer is used to enhance the low-frequency response of an audio system.
Vehicles generally use small speakers (10, 13 or 16.5 cm). These speaker sizes have a limited low-frequency output. In fact, these speakers do not go below a frequency of 70 Hz.
A subwoofer completes the lack of bass from the car's main speakers. The result is a richer, livelier and more realistic listening experience. This is why the bass reproduction is often much better than the vehicle's original installation. There are several types of subwoofer. Your choice will depend on the type of sound, integration in the vehicle and your expectations.
